cross stitch - lol, no?!

I saw a tattoo on tumblr once that said "lol, no" which cracked me up. I just tried to find that image again but it is lost forever. The cross stitch pattern was yoinked from the internet too, I found the image and simply counted out the stitches.

I didn't plan the lettering for "lol, no?!" but I am happy that it all fit. If not, I was thinking of doing this cross stitch and hanging them together.

the Bubblegum Branch of Hill St

I took photos of this tree a couple of months ago. It had years of bubblegum stuck to it and its grotesque ridiculousness made me smile every time I walked past. Sadly last week, it was cut down. I pinned a sign to a tree close by stating "Bubblegum, I miss you" in the hopes of bringing some colour back to Hill St. Over the course of 48 hours the sign moved, then moved back and five shiny new bits of gum were placed on the tree (none by me!). Clearly I was not the only person to miss that weird gum - Sarah

Ombre

Ombre is one of those trends that I actually like. When I was in high school (back in.. 2003?) I dip-dyed my hair with hot pink and got in a ton of trouble. It seems okay for teens these days and in a fit of attempting to re-capture my youth I gave it another go, with turquoise this time. Sarah came over and helped me with the bleaching. I ended up leaving it the orange-y colour for a while because she did such a good job.

Apparently I only take photos of myself backlit, so this is the best photo i have of my hair with turquoise in it. It has faded to a really nice soft mermaidy green.

Last night I tried out ombre nails, too. I didn't have any makeup sponges so i used a washing-up cloth thing, which was a pretty terrible idea. It came out okay considering.

Vengaboys

In 1999 this cool nerd got to see the Vengaboys with her sister and mum. Way to go Whakatane Intermediate for having the oddest uniform colour ever. I couldn't not post this 90's nostalgia -Sarah

Interior Decorations

I've got a house, well you know not really mine but I dwell there. I have been away on holiday and when I got back to my whare it made me happy to see my stuff on the walls. Some people I know don't decorate their interiors with bones so I thought I would share.

Another attempt at a rookie.com inspired crown. *probably un-wearable, but we'll see*
